So far, so good: Cruz Beckham looks confident as he starts a skateboarding stunt in a Los Angeles park

His father is arguably one of the most famous sportsmen in the world.
So it's no wonder that at the tender age of just six-years-old, Cruz Beckham is attempting to follow in his father's footsteps by forging his own skill.

Cruz was trying to show off his moves in a skate park in Los Angeles on Saturday, but ended up in floods of tears when a particularly tricky manoeuvre went horribly wrong

Instead of catching the board after flipping it under his feet, Cruz missed it completely, ending up flat on his back on the concrete floor.

Sobbing, he ran to his nanny, who quickly picked up her celebrity client and gave him a big hug to comfort him as best she good.

But things weren't made any easier by Cruz's 11-year-old brother Brooklyn, who made whizzing around on his board look easy as they spent time in the park.

Whoops: The trick starts to go wrong for the six-year-old, as his older brother Brooklyn skates calmly by

Parents David and Victoria were absent from the day out, no doubt preparing for the arrival of their new baby later this year.

However, they were yesterday spotted at a pre-Oscars party with their sons at a private residence in Los Angeles, where Victoria kept all signs of an impending baby bump hidden with a large bag over her stomach.

It was revealed yesterday that the couple are planning to return to the UK from their current home in Los Angeles.

The Mail on Sunday was told that the couple, who have a £145million fortune, plan to send their eldest son Brooklyn to one of England’s elite independent schools.

The school, with many famous alumni, is 40 minutes from ‘Beckingham Palace’, the family's £18million mansion in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

Staff and pupils on the school council have discussed Brooklyn’s application to see how the school might cope with the attention such a high-profile boy would attract.

Senior figures at the school, where fees are up to £14,000 a year, have also met to discuss security requirements.
